Reese is 1 today!!!
on Saturday. Grandma Adams was in town and we all got dressed in the morning and went to the Houston Children's Museum. They have a toddler area and Reese was in heaven playing there . They had doors and cabinets to open, lights to turn on and off, stairs to climb, tunnels to run through, slides, pretend cars to drive. All I know, is he had only a 15 minute nap in the car before we got there and did not show signs of fussiness at all. He was way too busy. Dad was most proud when Reese got in the stationary truck and girls just started piling in after him (see video below). After the Children's Museum we went to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. The monkey in a swing was right above our heads and Reese just kept pointing at it when it would make sounds. Granny took him around the restaurant to see the other jungle animals and he would point to everything. The servers came out and sang "Happy Birthday" to Reese and gave him a birthday sundae. I began spoon feeding him the ice-cream but he looked as though he wanted to reach right in with his hands. I encouraged him to go for it, you only turn 1 once. He enjoyed this until his hands got cold from the ice-cream. (see video below)
He fell asleep in the car on the way home and continued to sleep in his bed after arriving home for a few more hours. After dinner, we all got in the pool for a quick swim. He loves the big pool and is very brave. He actually tries to squirm out of his float. Maybe, he will be another Michael Phelps. He was born in the midst of the Olympics when Phelps was winning his gold medals. I am in no hurry to see him grow up that fast, so we will just have to wait and see!
