Happy 9 Months Reese!!!

Reese turned 9 months today. I know I say it every month when I blog, but oh my goodness, where does the time go? He thinks he is so big and makes me laugh every single day. The kid could eat all day long but is so mobile he doesn't seem to gain any weight. He loves Cheerios and when I lay them down on the table takes both hands and fills them up only to shove them in all in his mouth. See video below.

He is such a busy bee and keeps me on my toes. My mother had the opportunity to watch him yesterday, and she was exhausted when the day was over. Only Reese could break the woman who raised 4 kids. He literally does not stop until he eats or sleeps. He crawls with such speed and is very determined to get to where he wants to go. Below is the video of Reese in action.

His favorite spots are...... the TV, the dogs food and water bowls, the carbon monoxide detector (because it makes a cool beeping sound), the night lights around the house, the fireplace, the dog crates and finally the dogs.

He pulls up to a standing position on everything (including the dogs when they are standing) and scoots along to get where he needs to go. He uses his walker push toy and almost moves at a jogging speed, especially on the tile floors. He uses my hands to walk a little around the room and can stand on his own for a few seconds. As soon as he realizes he is unassisted his knees buckle and he gets down to a crawling position, I think he is a little frightened. I am completely fine with him taking his time to walk. I can barely catch him now, I can't imagine how much faster he will be when he is walking.

One of his favorite things to do is to open up all of his drawers in his room and empty out all of his clothes. I don't know how he knows, but he usually loves to do this after laundry day, so that the drawers are extra full and Mommy has extra work on her hands.

He has also recently learned to wave bye-bye and we make him do it so much I think he gets a bit confused (he also does it for hello). He also has been pointing at everything and we are working on having him point to Mommy, Daddy, and the doggies. Below is another short video of him waving (Don't mind the way he is "sitting" in his chair, he has always done that, usually he stands in it that way as well)

He is a tough little boy and I find bruises on him constantly but have no idea where they came from because he doesn't make a peep when he falls. Last but not least, he has a little tooth beginning to pop up on his lower left side. He woke up one night last week around 3 a.m. a little fussy and I haven't heard any other complaining from him about it. He doesn't like me to look at it but I can feel it.

His 9 month check-up is next week so I will be updating the blog with his stats and any other information. Here are a few more pics of Reese.

Reese with one of his many girlfriends, Samantha. She came over to visit for the day. These pictures were about the only time the two were able to play with each other since they are on complete opposite schedules.
The bottom picture with Samantha, Randy says Reese is giving an "Ami Look" what do you think?

The dog in the above pictures is Doc, Brandon's dog. When Brandon goes on travel we get to dog-sit Doc. He loves Reese and Reese loves him. He is very interactive with Reese and will let Reese climb all over him. I promise no dogs were harmed in the taking of these pictures.

We just returned from the doctor's visit (5/18/09) Reese weighs 19.4 lbs and is 27 inches long, these are both around the 25th percentile.
