We spent Friday night dying Easter eggs with friends. It was a lot of fun, but towards the end of the 11 dozen eggs it was getting a bit boring and everyone was wanting to finish. In addition to dying Easter eggs, a few of our friends
Easter Dinner was on Sunday and was a blast. We are so lucky to have such close friends here in Texas that we can celebrate holidays with. We had a fried turkey among many other things to eat. After dinner we had an Easter Egg Hunt and of course we knocked eggs, a huge tradition in my family. The 11 dozen eggs came in handy. After the games a few gathered outside to fry other items such as Twinkies, Easter peeps, snickers and Oreos YUMMY!! Check out more Easter pictures here and our friends pictures by clicking here.
Earlier in the month, to prepare for Easter, we went and visited the Easter Bunny at the mall. I was unsure of how Reese would react but he really liked the big fluffy bunny. It actually took a few minutes to get his attention because he was feeling the Easter Bunny's fur and was looking at him or her instead of the camera (not sure what gender the Easter Bunny is).
Lastly, we found a portrait studio that takes pictures with a live bunny and of course I jumped on the opportunity because I thought it would be cute. I also wanted to pet the bunny myself, I have a weakness for cute little bunnies. I brought Reese in for his pictures and we took a few with him in his Easter outfit with his Easter basket and a few of him dressed up as the Easter Bunny.

Finally, she decided to have Reese and the bunny face off. I was surprised that the photographer got this shot because as soon as he was placed down Reese would crawl towards the bunny.
The photo shoot was very very tiring for me (from chasing Reese around) so I can imagine how the photographer felt. Reese was loving the camera and would crawl towards it every time. There are a few more cute shots of Reese crawling towards the camera. Check out the rest of the Easter photo shots here - Easter Pictures.
THE AFTERMATH OF EASTER
The next morning after Easter we set Reese down to play while Randy and I had some breakfast. He hardly sits still anymore and babbles all the time but this morning he was being very quiet and very still. I glanced over at him and he was sitting next to his jungle cruise n play toy so I decided to not bother him. I ate my breakfast and about halfway through realized that he was just being too quiet and still for Reese, nothing keeps him entertained for that long. I got up from the table to discover that Reese had found his very own chocolate covered egg leftover from the Easter egg hunt. He was sucking on it and it was everywhere, all over his hands, his clothes, my carpet.
I ran over to him and yelled for Randy, Reese quickly popped one more chocolate egg in his mouth. Randy checked his mouth and he had the foil wrapper stuck to the roof of his mouth from the first chocolate egg. He was mad when we took the eggs away from him. I quickly undressed him and cleaned him up and after was very upset with myself for not taking a picture first. I did however manage to get a picture of the pajamas he was wearing. Reese had his first taste of chocolate and from the scream he yelled out when I took it away he definitely has his mom's sweet tooth.
