On Saturday, we took Reese to the beach for his very first time. His Grandma,

Nanny Jennifer, and cousin Brooke all joined us. We went to Stewart Beach in Galveston and it was completely empty. Not many people go to the beach the first week of March at 10 in the morning. It was nice without the crowds and the weather was beautiful.
We sat Reese down in the sand as soon as we arrived at

Stewart Beach. He ran his fingers up and down in the sand wondering what this new feel was. Without any hesitation, he grabbed a handful of sand and it immediately went in the mouth. After that I made sure he had a pacifier in his mouth at all times to avoid the mishap of a sandy mouth again. The sun was getting a bit warm so I constructed a canopy of towels for Reese to play under.
Brooke also had a wonderful time at the beach.

Going to the beach has become a tradition for her every time she visits me in Texas. She even brings her beach toys on the plane with her to Texas. She really enjoyed when we buried her in the sand. She loved it and stayed buried for quite some time. No worries, she didn't fall through to China (inside joke) :).
