Randy woke me up last night to tell me it was snowing. Being in the daze I always am when I am half asleep, I shrugged it off and thought he was kidding. I finally woke up and decided to take a look outside. Sure enough, there was a blanket of snow covering our Houston home. I joked with some local friends to bring over their snow and we could combine to make a snowman. Reese did not get to experience his first snow since it was late at night and mommy is a wimp when it comes to cold weather.
The next day traffic was terrible in Houston (as if it could get any worse). Bridges were closed, overpasses were being led by cops, so drivers were not reckless. Drive times that were usually a half hour were now over 2 hours. By lunchtime all the snow had melted and it will be many many years before it snows here again, thank goodness. I hate the cold weather, snow is something Reese will have to experience at his families homes in Kentucky.
