Reese Pascal Lillard

He is finally here!

Reese was born on Wednesday, August 13 at 5:42 in the morning at 9 lbs 5 oz and 20.5 inches long. We ended up with a cesarean section. He was not going to come out on his own. I was given induction medication on Monday night and by Tuesday night (24 hours later) I still had no progression. The doctor broke my water early Wednesday morning and my body reacted very oddly so the doctor, Randy, and I all decided that a c-section was the best answer. At that point I was ready for him to come out, it didn't matter to me how.
We had many visitors stop by on Friday to meet Reese, which was a lot of fun and really lifted my spirits. I had been feeling pretty yucky the first two nights at the hospital, I was finally able to go home Saturday afternoon.
So, basically now I am at home trying to recover as fast as I can so that I can fully take care of Reese on my own. For the meantime we have been having so much help from friends and family. My mom just left two days ago and Randy's mom made it in shortly after. Next week our visitors will be my sister and my mom again.

As of right now, Randy and I can't stop staring at him and even as little as he is he already is making us crack up all the time.
Below are some of our favorite pictures of him, scroll down to see.
